For the Musée d’Orsay and its “Lespetitsmo” website, Escalenta produced the documentary collection ” The world is ours ! “.
These short documentary and educational films are part of an artistic and cultural education project carried out with the National Education Ministry.
A project based on the presence of the world in a selection of works from the Musée d’Orsay. These works are viewed by 232 young Parisians, aged 7 to 11, living in an area considered to be a “priority education” zone. The project proposes to shift the viewpoint of these children who live in the French city-world.
By encouraging them to express their impressions, their cultural references and their questions, the Musée d’Orsay, with Pierre Singaravélou, looks at history in the face and sets the conditions for a collective creation that observes the French identities of the 21st century through 19th century works. Each film is a mix of emotion, knowledge and sharing.
