INSTALLATION

multi-screen installation by Pascal Goblot

duration : 5 min.

Paris Modern Art Museum.

Musée des Confluences, exhibition La Machine.

Installation on 3 synchronized screens.

There are three permanent replicas of The Bride Stripped Bare by Her Bachelors, Even by Marcel Duchamp, the Stockholm one, made by Ulf Linde in 1961, the London one by Richard Hamilton in 1966, and the Tokyo one by Shuzo Takiguchi and Yoshiaki Tono in 1980.

Through the Large Glasses reunits them for the first time, thus underlining their infrathin differences.

But the more troubling perhaps is this work that tells the story of the three Bride Stripped Bare by Her Bachelors, Even by Marcel Duchamp
in l’Œil, october 2010.
